Terms and Conditions – Gascherry Safaris
Welcome to Gascherry Safaris! By booking and participating in our tours, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which are designed to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and well-managed experience for all our clients.
1. Booking and Payment
1.1. Booking Confirmation
To confirm your booking, a deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required at the time of reservation. The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of your tour.
1.2. Late Bookings
Bookings made less than 30 days before the tour start date require full payment at the time of reservation.
1.3. Payment Methods
We accept payments via bank transfer, credit/debit cards, and other approved methods as communicated during the booking process.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
2.1. Cancellation by Client
- Cancellations made more than 30 days before the tour start date will receive a refund of the deposit minus a 10% administrative fee.
- Cancellations made between 15–29 days before the tour will be charged 50% of the total cost.
- Cancellations made within 14 days of the tour start date will not be eligible for a refund.
2.2. Cancellation by Gascherry Safaris
In the unlikely event that we must cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances, clients will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
3. Travel Insurance
Gascherry Safaris strongly recommends that all participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover medical emergencies, cancellations, delays, and loss of personal belongings. Gascherry Safaris will not be held liable for any costs arising from the lack of travel insurance.
4. Liability
4.1. Wildlife and Adventure Risks
Our tours often involve outdoor activities and encounters with wildlife. While we prioritize your safety, participants must acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved in such activities.
4.2. Limitation of Liability
Gascherry Safaris will not be held responsible for any injury, loss, damage, or expense resulting from third-party services, delays, weather conditions, or other factors beyond our control.
5. Health and Safety
5.1. Medical Conditions
Clients must inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions or dietary requirements at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate your needs but cannot guarantee all requests.
5.2. Vaccinations and Health Precautions
Clients are responsible for obtaining the necessary vaccinations and taking precautions as recommended by health authorities for travel in East Africa.
6. Travel Documents and Requirements
6.1. Passports and Visas
Clients are responsible for ensuring that they have valid passports, visas, and any other required travel documents.
6.2. Park Fees and Permits
Park entry fees and permits, where applicable, are included in the tour cost unless otherwise specified. These fees are subject to change based on government regulations.
7. Code of Conduct
7.1. Respect for Local Communities and Wildlife
Clients are expected to adhere to our principles of responsible tourism. This includes respecting local cultures, traditions, and wildlife habitats.
7.2. Compliance with Guide Instructions
To ensure safety and enjoyment, all clients must follow the instructions of their tour guide.
8. Amendments
Gascherry Safaris reserves the right to amend itineraries, services, or prices in response to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather conditions, political events, or operational issues. Clients will be informed of such changes promptly.
9. Data Privacy
We are committed to protecting your personal information. By booking with us, you consent to the use of your data for tour-related purposes, as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in Kenyan courts.
